South Australia’s credentials as a national leader in Artificial Intelligence strengthened during AI Week (21-28 November), with the introduction of two new initiatives to bolster South Australia’s AI capabilities.
Applications open to deliver AI Capability Pilot Program
Proposals are now open for companies that can deliver a new AI Capability Pilot Program to South Australian small and family businesses, to equip them with the tools, skills and confidence to implement AI solutions in their operations.
Working directly with small and family businesses, the selected delivery partners will provide tailored support, mentoring and advisory services to help participating businesses explore, plan and implement AI solutions that deliver measurable results. Applications are open now and close 5 December.
List your company on the SA AI Capability Directory
To help organisations find AI services and solutions, the Department of State Development has introduced South Australia’s first AI Capability Directory. This free, searchable platform is designed to promote the state’s AI strengths and make it easier for potential partners, investors and clients (local and global) to connect with AI services and solutions.
With all listings shared with the National AI Capability Directory and used to support inbound delegations and trade missions, listed organisations will be visible not only here in South Australia, but across the nation and internationally.
Submissions are now open from South Australian organisations who are building AI, delivering AI, or providing AI education and skills to submit their listing on the SA AI Capability Directory.
South Australia boasts the nation’s most concentrated pool of AI talent, giving the state a head start in capitalising on AI technologies to boost productivity, attract investment and provide better services to the community.
Through these initiatives, the Department of State Development is supporting home-grown AI talent, industry growth, and enhancing the state’s position as a destination for AI investment in Australia.
